A town festival gets announced in the street: on the totem, on the banner, on the lamppost at the corner and on the flyer you take home. For Sant Just Desvern Town Council we designed the complete visual identity for the Festa de la Primavera, made to work just as well seen from across the road as read in the queue for the bar.
There's no mystery to the trick: start with the biggest format and the smallest at the same time, and order the information by reading distance. From afar, what and when; up close, the programme. We do the same for campaigns for shops, associations, public venues and companies: one clear idea, a graphic system that holds at any size, and print-ready artwork the printer won't send back.
A poster isn't designed in the abstract: it's designed for a particular street, shop window or bus shelter. Knowing Sant Just helps us choose formats and sizes sensibly.
Being next door, we can bring you printed proofs and look at them with you at full size. A colour on screen and that colour on a vinyl banner are not the same thing.
Festa Major, Festa de la Primavera, fairs, the shops' Christmas campaign: we know they're coming and how far ahead you need to start so nobody ends up rushing.
The Festa de la Primavera is the poster and signage case. The Festa Major is proof that when the campaign hits the street we're there too, camera in hand.
A whole town at its street party. And nobody is left out of the photo.

Further than you'd think. Between idea, design, adaptations, printing and putting it all up, the weeks fly by; for Christmas, we argue on our blog that the realistic calendar starts in October.
For anyone with something to announce. The quote follows the scope: a poster for an association dinner is not the same as the full identity of a festival.
Yes, and we've done it in Sant Just: we adapted the Naturalment Collserola brand to the tourism and market websites. Respecting a system that already exists is design too.
If it needs to, yes. These days a campaign lives on the poster, in the story and on the screen, and every piece comes out of the same system. In Esplugues i Punt!, for instance, a single gesture worked across video, photos, posters and lamppost banners.
