Mincco Studio, a studio that changes its name without closing the shop
mincco.studio · 10 portfolio disciplines · shop with Stripe Mincco Studio does branding, graphic applications, social media, web and events, and sums it up in one plain sentence: everything you need to make your company work. When the job came in, the studio was still called Mesdg.
They asked us for two things eighteen months apart. First, a site that could show ten disciplines of work without becoming ten sites. Then, changing the studio’s name without changing the site underneath it: same installation, same shop, different brand.
We put the whole site up in three weeks of June 2024. A new WordPress, design and development from scratch: home, services, about, contact and the portfolio pages. A design studio is the most demanding client there is about its own website, and that set the pace.
Ten disciplines, one single template. Branding, web, packaging, signage, social media, stationery, catalogues, labels, stands and events share a URL pattern and a grid. Adding a new discipline means filling in content, not rebuilding a page.
In December 2024 we gave it a shop. WooCommerce with a Stripe gateway to sell design packs: a studio that billed hours was starting to sell product as well, and that is e-commerce development, not one more page.
In October 2025 we changed the brand from the inside. Mesdg became Mincco on the same WordPress: home page, legal texts and data ownership rewritten, and the portfolio dressed in black with Bricolage Grotesque. The work carried on in February and March 2026 with the new home page.
A rebrand can be done two ways: building a new site alongside and migrating, or changing it inside the one already running. We chose the second because there was a shop taking payments and ten portfolio pages already getting visits. The change went in layers — legal, home page, portfolio — and the site never stopped.
The site runs on WordPress with Elementor Pro, and all the weight sits in the templates: the ten portfolio pages are the same template with different content, with 1600 and 1400 px containers and full-bleed images, no margins between them. That is what lets the studio open a new discipline without calling us.
The new visual system is short and blunt: black background, white text, headlines in titling at 50 px with negative letter-spacing, and navigation and buttons in Bricolage Grotesque in capitals. The accent is a magenta red and the radius is 3 px on buttons and fields. Against black, a design studio’s portfolio reads like an exhibition.
The part you do not see is the commerce: WooCommerce with a Stripe gateway, a contact form with GDPR consent and newsletter sign-up. And the rebrand, which is technically the most delicate part: rewriting the data controller, the legal texts and the entire visual identity of a live site without breaking a single URL.
