The brief

Time Lapse Barcelona was starting from zero: timelapse, hyperlapse and drones to follow building sites and events frame by frame. A niche as narrow as it is crowded, where the client is a construction company, an architecture practice or a site manager who wants to show how a building goes up.

The brief was not just a good-looking website: it was launching a new brand and placing it exactly where clients and investors look for it, with a structure that could take on more services over the years.

What we did

We built an online sales strategy for a narrow niche: put the brand where a project gets decided. No talking to “everyone”; talk to the person who signs off the budget and has to show the work to the investor.

We chose the domain as part of the brand. timelapse.barcelona nails the local identity, says the service and the city in one line and pushes the ranking. The company name and the URL are the same thing: there is nothing to memorise.

We designed a custom website organised by service: timelapse and hyperlapse for construction, drones for aerial photo and video, camera recording for building sites and events, and 4D timelapse (repeated flights along the same route which, edited together, make the building grow in motion). Every service with its own page and its own example.

We finished with SEO so that when someone searches for construction timelapse in Barcelona, they come up. Skill and specialisation, front row. Plus a client area, so every construction company can watch its own project without asking by email.

The design decision

Show time without wasting it.

You do not win a niche with a big website, you win it with an exact one. The key was making the name, the domain, the service and the city one single phrase: search “timelapse Barcelona” and you find timelapse.barcelona. The rest of the SEO is not ruining it.

Ranking in a niche

In a small niche, SEO is not about volume, it is about exact match. People looking for this service type three very specific words (what, what for, where) and the website has to answer them in the domain, in the title and in the first sentence. That is why timelapse.barcelona has no generic “services” page: it has one page per service, each with its exact name, and a home page that says “audiovisual work for building sites” before anything else.

The second part is proof: a timelapse sells itself by being watched. Every service carries its example, and the website is built so a site manager can open it on a phone, on site, and show the video to the investor. Conversion here is a video watched to the end.
